6 Image Sequence on Racism

This is my final project of the year! Its sad to come to this point because I love this class so much! This last project was fun because I actually learned a little more about racism while searching for the perfect pictures. They are in order from first to sixth!! I edited them slightly...nothing big because of the amount necessary to complete this six image sequence. I started off with slavery, then moved to segregation, then to Rosa Parks standing up! After that I pictured protesting and then onto the main figure, Martin Luther King Jr. I then finally came to equally...illustrating the painful journey.

The Power of One Poster

This is my Movie Poster for the Movie The Power of One! I like the way this looks and the way it turned out! First I got an image of the South African Landscape and used that as my primary background and then I took the Flag off the internet and lower the opacity to produce a lighten version of it! After that I got pictures of the characters and cut them out. Then I again lowered the opacity so the backgrounds were still visible. Lastly I wrote the Power of One in cool text at the bottom!

One Word Text Illustration

This is my one word text illustration! I choose fear because it is a very important, reoccurring theme in the movie The Power of One! I love the way this turned out! At first I wrote Fear and then made cutouts of it to add a cool effect. Then I found pictures of the characters and placed them on top just like the Color Wheel project. I then added filters to those pictures and put a drop shadow on the word Fear. Im starting on my next project now.....

Fear (The Power Of One)

This is my One Word Text Illustration! I used the same technique as the color wheel project but I cut the word FEAR up to make it look cool! It makes it look a lot better! I love the way this turned out

Color Wheel Projects

These are my color wheel projects and its pretty obvious which one I took pictures for! I loved this project and I think both of these turned out well. For the First one I took different abstract pictures of the internet and put them on the apple logo and placing them in a space scene. I love the first one because of the vibrant colors included in this picture. I also added filters to the designs on the apples that also add the texture and cool effects. One of the apples in kind of hidden and hard to see! See if you can find it! The second project I took pictures for! I started by taking pictures of a stop sign for my stencil. Then I proceeded to roam the hallways snapping pictures of cool designs and places. I then put these on the signs and then set it in a good ole countryside scene that I also took pictures of. I like this one because of the change from sky to landscape is through the signs! Overall this project was great and I am still not regretting taking this class. Its soo much fun. Cant wait for my next project.....

Favorite Image

This is an amazing image created by Matthew Porter. This piece of work really stands out to me because of the background! With the intense light refracting off the city onto the cars metallic body it portrays a very strong and bright scene. I love this picture because of how plain it is. If a car wasn't suspended in mid air this picture would look like a beautiful sunset upon an intersection and the city behind it! I also really like cars and that ride looks amazing in that light!!!!

100% Me Projects

These are my two projects that are all mine!! I worked hard to get the pictures and put them together! This was harder because of the picture taking and importing but it was more enjoyable! I think these could have turned out better if I got them off the web because I would have had more time but other than that I think these turned out pretty well

Batesville Project 2

This is a re-edited version of my first attempt at the t-shirt design. I like this design too but I liked the colors on the first one more. I basically desaturated the image and then added text with a drop shadow and some texture and then got the original landscape image and cut out the red fence and put that over the black and white fence. This would look better on a black shirt while my first one would not blend with the shirt!

Batesville

This is my Bateville Project/ T-Shirt design! I love the way this looks with the different sections of colors! We had to design a format for the annual Batesville Day! I got a country scene and added a nashville effect. After that I added a filter and some text and rotated the text in order to hug the red rail! I am really proud of this and I think It looks amazing!

Alphabet

This is a project that Daniel, Olivia, Brea, and I worked on! In this alphabet assignment we had to take pictures of letters that were in our surroundings! Some of the letters were extremely hard to find but we finally reached our goal and started assembling the photoshop part of the project. This was the easy part but it took time to fix each image to their designated area! I think I could have organized the letters better but since there are 26 letters in the alphabet making an equal design is impossible! We all enjoyed this project including the picture part and I am now going to start on my Batesville Project!

Chairs in Settings

These are my chairs within different settings! I liked to make the shadow without the drop shadow effect! It was a little harder but still very simple as you can see below. I liked this project alot and it was very fun!!!!!

3D Chairs

For this particular project we had to cover chairs with our own artwork and add a shadow behind them. To do this I warped my images to fit the chairs and used the drop shadow tool to easily create a realistic perception of light. I think I will be using the shadow technique much more in my other artwork and projects because it adds a whole new addition to the picture! I liked this project but I think my artwork could have been a little cleaner around the edges and legs of the chair!

Comic Strip

This is our final comic strip starring Brea and Daniel. Gill, Daniel, Brea, Olivia, and I all worked hard on this to make it seem as "comical" as possible!! This was a fun project especially the taking picture portion!

My midterm exam for digital imaging was my favorite exam so far!! Haha, It was simple but took a while. I LOVE THIS CLASS!
